Repossessed Cars
A family's cars were repossessed in Sarpy County because they missed a few payments on the car loans. They were happy to find a Papillion bankruptcy attorney near them at the Law Office of Kate Owen. After discussing their finances with me, my clients decided to file Chapter 13 bankruptcy. They were able to quickly get me the information I need to prepare a bankruptcy, and we filed before the cars were auctioned. The cars were returned to my clients the day after the bankruptcy was filed.
Through the Chapter 13 bankruptcy, we were able to set up a car payment the family could afford. The cars will be paid at a lower interest rate and for less than what would have been paid outside of bankruptcy. A Chapter 13 filing allowed my client and his wife to keep driving the cars they need to support their family. My clients just have to keep making their Chapter 13 Plan payments to keep the cars.
